Lakeview Feature Teacher: Jan Johnson
Mrs. Jan Johnson is one of our fantastic 2nd grade teachers at Lakeview. She is a true life-long learner, and an amazing example of thinking critically about continuous learning. We admire how she always takes steps to put her learning into action. Mrs. Johnson and the building instructional coach shared a common read and collaborated to apply some of the biggest takeaways to her guided reading lesson plan. They both worked to develop a lesson template that included the FPC guided reading lesson components and also utilized visual prompting, checking meaning and structure, orthographic mapping, and connected her students phonics/phonemic awareness work to their assessed areas of need.
We are so very fortunate to have Mrs. Johnson as part of our Solon community and Lakeview team!
