Lakeview Feature Teacher: Jackie Peterson
Miss Jackie Peterson is new to Lakeview this year and we are so lucky to have her! Over the past few weeks, Miss Peterson and Miss Gerk, Lakeview instructional coach, have collaborated on strategies, plans and resources to use to support her students specific comprehension needs. They have worked to utilize a routine using visuals to support her students comprehension within the text during her guided reading lessons. Also, after analyzing her student’s comprehension strengths and areas for growth, they extended the routine to include the opportunity to make comprehension connections. Miss Peterson recognizes the needs of her students and doesn’t hesitate to work with with others to develop the best ways to support her students. She communicates and collaborates incredibly and is willing to try anything for students. We are blessed to have her as part of our teaching team!
