Lakeview Feature Teacher: Kari Mai
Mrs. Mai is one of our dynamic 2nd grade teachers at Lakeview. Mrs. Mai and the building instructional coach, Miss Gerk, Kari have been working together over past few weeks to plan specific supports for a student in 2D. They recently focused on the literacy block and planned learning experiences to support the student’s specific needs. Mrs. Mai worked to create a routine of tasks that included personalized word work opportunities, reading just right text, and using Seesaw to record reading. She also collaborated to plan the structure and reinforcement that will best support this student's independent literacy learning. Mrs. Mai is awesome and has taken on a lot to best support this student and all of 2D!
