The Solon Community School District maintains student directory information that can be shared with outside organizations such as the PTO and booster clubs upon request. This information includes a student's name, address, and home phone number. For a complete list of information that can be shared, please refer to SCSD Board Policy 506.2R1.
Under The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), parents and students 18 years old and older can opt out of disclosing student directory information. If you do not want to opt out, there is nothing you need to do. If you would like to opt out, log into PowerSchool, click on "Forms" in the navigation menu, and select "5 - Permissions" from the list of forms. You can opt out by checking the box under the "Directory Information Opt-Out" section at the top of the form (see screenshot) and submitting the form. The deadline for opting out is Friday, September 30, 2022.
